Morning Exploration

Preah Ang Thom Village: Begin the climb to Preah Ang Thom. At the local market, visit the Reclining Buddha and the sacred site of 1000 Lingas carved into the riverbed.

Pause for coffee at the village market and sample traditional Khmer snacks from local stalls. Trekking to the Bat Cave
Transfer to Phumi Thmiey (“New Village”), the starting point of your trek.
Visit local villagers weaving bundles of leaf fronds, skillfully crafting traditional roofing materials.
Embark on a 7 km hike through untouched wilderness, surrounded by vibrant wildlife such as sunbirds, coucals, pitas, buzzing bees, shimmering dragonflies, colorful buterflies, playful squirrels and more.
At the Bat Cave, discover a shrine dedicated to Hindu gods and learn about the meditation practices of pilgrimages. Enter the cave with your guide to witness the living culture of local believers.

The Elephant Pool

Continue hiking 2 km to the mystical Elephant Pool, where statues of an elephant, a lion, and two tigers stand proudly in the jungle. These monuments were built by ancient kings to honor their workers during the construction of Khmer Empire temples.
Enjoy refreshments and snacks at the pool while admiring views of the “New Village,” established during the Covid era.

Hidden Temples & Jungle Trails

Resume trekking 2 km through virgin forest trails and cashew plantations to reach the ruins of Prasat Krbie Kram, hidden deep in the jungle. Wildlife may be spoted along the way, perfect for photography.
Spend about 30 minutes at the temple as your guide shares its fascinating history.
Continue 2 km to Prasat Aram Rong Chen, another ancient temple surrounded by lush plantations and forest. Learn its story and spend 30 minutes exploring.
